Book Fair

The annual book fair is typically held in November.

The 2011 book fair is set for November 16 - 18, 2011 during the day for the students and will also be open on Monday, November 21 & 22, 2011, for anyone to come and purchase items.

OLP School students are offered the opportunity to purchase books during the day.

Parents and others who might be interested in browsing and purchasing books from the fair are invited to come to the school library during open hours which are posted each year.

Books make an enduring and treasured gift. Scholastic provides a wide selection of popular, quality material for children of all ages, as well as a nice selection for adults. We feel you will have no problem finding a wonderful Christmas present for the book lover in your family. We will provide a classroom wish list from each teacher so that you may purchase a book needed for the classroom as well.

Cash, credit cards and checks made payable to Our Lady of Peace *are accepted as payment. *This is a change from the original letter sent home. Please note, this year, we are required by Scholastic to collect sales tax at 6 %.

Books are purchased at the fair. If the book is not available from the shelf at that time, it will be ordered. Payment is made and the book will be delivered to the library after Thanksgiving. Purchasers will be notified when the books have arrived. All orders will be processed well in advance of the Christmas holiday.

The Book Fair is the only means of raising revenue for the purchase of books for the school library. There is no money designated in the school budget for the purchase of books for the school library so the sales from the book fair are incredibly important to keep our library’s catalog of books at the highest level possible.
