Athletics

The Athletic Association provides our students with the opportunity for athletic development to complement their academic and spiritual growth here at OLP. We strive to teach good sportsmanship and individual and team skills as we participate in the Diocesan sports program.

The Athletic Association selects our volunteer coaches and works with the parish office to get clearances and implement training following Diocesan standards. We provide equipment and uniforms to our teams, pay for tournament fees, competition fees, referee stipends, and Diocesan field assessments. Our revenues come from the athletic participation fees and funds raised by hosting tournaments, Casino Night games, and the OLP All Sports Lottery.

Our OLP Crusader teams participate primarily against the local Diocesan grade schools. Skill development is the primary goal of the 4th grade and younger and Junior Varsity programs. The Varsity programs are more competitive in nature. Traditionally our student athletes do well in their various sports. This school year the OLP Swim Team took first in the Diocesan competition. We are very proud of all our athletes’ participation and accomplishments for themselves, their families, and our school.

Thank you for supporting our student athletes.
