Our Lady of Peace School

Special Events

A variety of events are held throughout the year to bring the OLP family together and to welcome new members to the family. We enjoy bringing the members of the OLP community together to learn more about the school and to celebrate being with one another.

    Parent Information Evening (PIE)

Sponsored by the Office of Advancement, School Board, Family and School Association (FSA) and the Athletic Association, PIE brings school parents together in mid September to gather a wealth of information. The evening offers parents information on the latest updates at OLP, time to meet with teachers, and ends with a wine and cheese social promoting fellowship.

    Grandparents’/Grandfriends’ Day

Grandparents’/Grandfriends’ Day is becoming a tradition at OLP. In September 2009, the first Grandparents’/Grandfriends Day was held for the entire school. Grandparents or a grandfriend spend part of the day with OLP students. All grandparents/grandfriends celebrate Mass with the school community. One set of grandparents had this to say about the 2010 event, “Just had to tell you how much we enjoyed "Grandparents Day". The program was very relaxing and being able to let the grandchildren show us their classrooms and the work they are doing was a real treat. Many thanks! “. It is truly a special day enjoyed by all.
